MapGuide Open Source 2.0.0 demo site

If you’re interested in seeing what the recently released MapGuide Open Source 2.0.0 with DM Solutions Fusion (which in turn uses OpenLayers) looks like, you’re in luck!

We’ve put together an experimental / beta server for us to demonstrate and test new features for MapGuide. For now, it’s showing MGOS 2.0.0 Release, with some minor tweaks to the templates to use 8bit PNGs. Have a look here:

Boo hoo, no love for Safari! :)

The Slate Tiled fusion template asks for Authentication 62 times.

    There’s a defect in for that :)

Fusion works with Safari 3 for my apps, but those templates need a bit of TLC for sure. Fortunately, Fusion is going to be an independant project, so pulling a different Fusion release and putting it into MapGuide shouldn’t be a big deal.

The defect was for the Safari support, not the Authentication prompt. I’m not sure what’s causing the latter yet… Tiled Fusion is still pretty much unsupported with lots of bugs, but this one in particular is probably something I did wrong when I set up the tiled template.

None of this works for me in Firefox: I just get errors on things like http://mapguidebeta.osgeo.org/mapguide/fusion/templates/mapguide/maroon/index.html saying ‘Unterminated String Literal”.

Thanks Chris. That was a server-side problem rather than browser incompatibility… Should be back up now, but no idea what caused the instability.
