I'm not sure what's causing the latter yet... Tiled Fusion is still pretty much unsupported with lots of bugs, but this one in particular is probably something I did wrong when I set up the tiled template. Fortunately, Fusion is going to be an independant project, so pulling a different Fusion release and putting it into MapGuide shouldn't be a big deal. There’s a defect in for that :)
